The Proposal
How Did He Ask?
On December 22nd, 2011, Tyler took me to a park that we had previously had visited when we had first started dating. Walking on the familiar path, I stopped at a small stream and watched the tranquil scenery. Tyler then spoke up and said, "I have been working on my sign language." (I am going to be a sign language interpreter) I replied, "Awesome, show me." When he had finished, he had finger spelled, "Samantha Jane Canipe Will You Marry Me?" When he was about half way through I knew what he was asking. The first words that came out of my mouth was, "Did you ask Daddy?" He said that he did and that my dad said that I could marry him. So after about 30 seconds of thinking it over, which felt like eternity to him, I said "Yes!"
